busy busy busy

Work is finally paying off. Hours of not sleeping is worth it!

I have been prolifically working pretty hard these past few days, with so much projects and group activities happening around school- life's pretty tough. Yesterday, we attended this classical play called 'DUES', Ral, a fellow classmate was one of the main characters in the play so it was fair enough to support her as our friend. The tickets were sold out so I guess that means they really must be good. Watched a movie last night called 'My Big Love'.

Ral- the mermaid!

Cast of the 'DUES' play!! woo! Go Ral!!

My Big Love Casts.

In the cinema. (hilarious part)

Today, in class I did an extempo-something speech, Love and Gayle said it was pretty good. I felt like my head was being banged on the wall and my hands got extra cold when I went up that podium. If it weren't for the encouraging smiles that my friends gave me I don't think I would have done well. And to God, of course. Speaking of, we had one of our Bible Study sessions with ate Janelle after school. It felt great after not seeing her for almost two weeks. I am spiritually contented once again!

Cool tee I badly wanted to get~ so totally ME!

My sis and Angela are out at the moment- window shopping in Robinson's Mall. I slept all afternoon, headache's gone and I'm thinking of going out for a walk :p And for all of the tech junkies out there, you might find this video pretty appealing :)

my insights on poverty and corruption (dedicated to philippines)

Corruption is a dishonesty that is done to gain personal satisfaction. There is a saying that goes, ”Human beings are never contented with what they have, because they often appear to always want more”. Money and power- the two main necessities that can drive man to evil. Political officials would steal money from the poor, and use it to cover up whatever illegal dealings that they had done just for the sake of their reputations.

Poverty, out of many other different categories is one of the causes of corruption. With money stolen from the deprived, a major change in these victims’ lives would transpire. There would be a deficiency in food, shelter and clothing. And if this bribery prolongs, our younger generation would suffer.

an oh-so ordinary day

What Mrs. Gloria really wants needs... oohh aa! ;)

Walked to school with my headphones blasted to full volume. Loved the cool morning breeze. If it weren't for pollution the morning would have been described as "perfect ". I couldn't stop laughing after my 3 hours of break time because Love said that Mrs. Gloria had fart-breath!!! Buahaha! She was forced to go and speak to her about a solution that she got correctly but marked wrong. Poor Lovee! Hung out with Jimmy for 5-10 minutes! Even had a mini-pictorial with him.

;)

thoughts

It sucks when there are days where you're just super preoccupied with so much and so busy with things and then the next day, there's nothing else left to do. Is it some sort of adjustment that we as human beings should adopt to just because that's the way life goes?

There are days when I just wish that time would go easy on me when I'm loaded. I mean most of the time, I like the fact that I'm doing something productive with my life. But there really are days, when I just wanna jump on my couch, turn on the TV and catch up and tune in with the latest news.

Midterm week is over. Can't believe I was up in the Study Hall just 2 days ago reviewing like crazy and now, nothing much to do but eat, sleep, watch TV and check my e-mails. Sighs! Boredom is seriously striking again!!!

whats new?

well, its gonna be mid terms week and as usual i haven't reviewed. i haven't even touched my notes at all. we've been doing loads of public speaking in front of class lately, i even acted out a whole play alone in class. (shocker!!) but yeah, it's not as bad as i always imagined it because you pretty much get used to it after awhile. even did the second reading in church. hehe!

wish me luck people!

He

He sees me,
reads me like a book
knows what's in my mind,
what bothers me
troubles and
worries me.

He sees me,
right through my soul
handles my heart
like it's the most precious thing
in the world
if only he knew
that he possess it.

He sees me,
as the person that i am
not for the person
that i sometimes pretend to be
yet, he chooses to stay

He sees
and loves me.
He chose to do so.
And whenever I ask why,
he replies
'I just do'
... and smiles.

not the best week but it's cool

Okay, so this week pretty much started downhill. arguments with friends and my sister, loosing my starbucks coupon card and much much more. but yeah, with God by my side, guiding me throughout every single step and decision that I make... it just seemed much smarter to face the problem and to try to figure out a solution to fix it.

Anyhow, arguments were patched up by having long conversations via personal, telephones and other forms of technology. found the lost card underneath the bed, had bible study with ate janelle. got a perfect score in my math quiz (something that doesn't usually happen to me everyday because i hate math) but yeah, overall, it ended well.

oh yeah, there's this barista in starbucks who sorta cute and he ran all the way just to open the door for me when i was leaving. im so kilig! (something the locals here would say when they feel happy or excited)

Love. . .

Love can be a solution to all your problems, but it can also be a cause.

up and still awake

It's like 2am in the morning and it's impossible to imagine that I was sleeping peacefully just about 5 minutes ago because now I'm totally awake. First few things that crossed my mind when I woke were:

* why does my throat feel so dry? (too much blended cream in Starbucks perhaps [?])
* where'd did my blanky go? (cold shivery night)
* fill up new card for a second starbucks planner
* this guy in one of my class this semester *sighs*
* on the computer and blog.

There is a saying that goes Once you suddenly can't sleep at night for no particular reason, then that means someone else in this world is thinking of you. I'm am now left wondering who thing one person could possibly be. . . Anyhoo, while I go on and think of my list of suspects, I hope you all are tucked up in bed and sleeping safe and sound. Now I must grab a glass of water to relieve this dry dry throat of mine.

Later!

this week

* it's great to end the weekend with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

* starbucks cup with MY cup . hehe, took me a minute to draw that picture. great way to practise my art skills (if i have any :p)
* my 2008 planner, with my drink and tech pen.
* how I have spent my week
* ONE more sticker to go before I get my hands on that Starbucks planner.

* and finally, the starbucks planner 2008. Frankly getting it wasn't as thrilling as I've always imagined so I gave it to my sister, Kresta instead since I already had one. plus... almost everyone in uni has em already so it sorta put me off. but still many thanks to Gayle, Love, Kat, Dione and Ketchai for making it possible and helping me around with it. :)

* the planner with it's seal. I dont like the color but the texture of leather is pretty decent.

* apoligies for this shot. hehe, you guys may have to squint if you want to read this. dont worry, once i get my hands on my awaited Nikon camera, you dont have to squint no more. but in the meantime, please bear with me here.
*so in conclusion, this is basically how my week ended.
* just thought I'd end the post with this mini-rubic's cube that was given to me by friend just yesterday. And before going home from Starbucks, gave this 2 feet tall child a cup of Starbucks hot chocolate drink cos I just felt like giving it randomly as the thought just popped in my head. And the kid was like 'salamat' which meant thanks in english. i mean it's a breezy night and i think he/she (couldn't really tell cos it was dark) needed it more than i did. just feels good helping out others from time to time. after all, we're all God's creations.

Hope your week ended well too. til the next post, take care and God bless! I'm out!
