Blessings

So much has happened since I have last posted here. As much as I want to keep updating it regularly, time limits me. My excuses are lame I know. Thank you to everyone who's been constantly visiting for short updates.

So to start off, my dad and sister came over for a couple of days to allow my sister to take up her entrance exams in De La Salle University- Manila. The same university, my sister Tata goes to. I was able to spend some quality time with her before she took up the exams. She is much more taller than me now. Envy her slim figure to be honest with you c: Was also able to bring her to out school's exhibit and she was able to explore around and meet the people I have surrounded myself with for the past 2 years that I have been going to PSID.

Parents were able to feed us food we don't normally get to eat when its just me and my sister here. Haha. budgetting your allowance was one thing we learned when we moved to the Philippines a couple of years ago, yenno?

I have received so much blessings lately too.
And I only have one person to thank that for.
God.
He has been so good to me and my family. And so to that I am thankful.

Thankful that my mom's cancer cells has decreased since her last check up.
Thankful that he's made my exhibit happen in time.
Thankful that I had my family over to witness it with me.
Thankful that He has helped me change, for the good (I think!)
Thankful that throughout the tough times, He was always there.
Thankful that He's been giving me projects for my career.
Thankful for my friends who's been there throughout the rough patches.
But most of all, thankful for giving me the life that I have right now.

These past couple of days have been more than I thought I could ever handle. Somehow, I kind of saw it coming but I never really expected it to happen. Nonetheless, I am so thankful to God for being with me and my family every single step of the way. Despite a couple of turbulences and what seemed like a very long roller-coaster ride of ups and downs.. I am just glad its over. Thank you to everyone who's been praying for my mom's recovery. She's trying to re-gain strength and despite what she has, she too is fighting hard and is very motivated to win over it in God's will.

If there's one thing that I have learned throughout everything, its that nobody can every go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. We have our own time on our hands, its on our own grip and its really up to us, whether or not we wanna make a difference or a change with it.

Today was the first time my mom was able to go out after her surgery. I missed having her old self back, bossing us around, making us do this-and-that, telling us what not to do and how it should have been done. Everything brought me back to the memories of my childhood. Honestly, I've learned so much through these.. I've learned to appreciate her, as my mom and as a person (not that I never did, its just I do appreciate her much much more now). It has tested my patience, nursing her and being there when she needed anything. I have learned to set my priorities straight and always put her first despite my schedule with our school exhibit. I, also learned how much sacrifices she's put out for me and my siblings and now its my turn to do some for her. I am aware that I still have a lot to learn, and everyday with her I will cherish much more than the next. Okay, for about a month of not posting, I think this post has made up for it. To end it, I shall attach some pictures with this post (Mama's asking me to prepare dinner so I gots to go!)

Happy Birthday My Lovely Mother.

First and foremost, it was my mom's birthday this week and she and my dad have served such important roles in my life. Honestly, a thank you is not enough to express how grateful I am for having both of you. Thank you for raising and teaching us all that we know today. You both have been amazing parents and I couldn't have asked for anything better. God has blessed me with such a lovely family, and even though we don't all agree on all things.. I know you guys do it for love. So God, thank you.

And of course,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER!

Tata and I ate for y'all at TGIF a couple of days ago. The food was soo good, even ordered some pasta for long life aye ;)

Okay so going back to school, I stayed up all night trying to finish up a couple of my workshop plates due in an hour and also volunteered to do the finalization for our bathroom exhibit so here goes. Hope our Design Adv Consultant approves it and hopefully no more re-drafting cos I am soo out of ideas. Am still not done with the ceiling though but yeah, here's what Jenny and I came up with:

hotel design

Hotel design for our thesis. Defense pretty much sucked cos we got targeted so much but then again, its constructive criticism. Individually, I did pretty alright but as a group, yeah.. it was real bad. Anyways, here's my room for the Jr. Suite. I need some friends to talk to so I be spending me time on the phone til I get sleepy enough to forget today. Sigh.

some woderness

These week's started off hectic and I can feel God being with me throughout my tough and challenging moments. I don't know how to even start thanking my family and friends for keeping me sane and on my toes throughout such a critical part in my life. Everyday is just a blessing. <3

So today, my group mates and I went swatch hunting, its been a ritual waking up sooo freaking early and sleeping at such late hours that caffeine has started being my best friend. To be honest, I am not a fan of coffee but lately, its been making me feel good and it enables me to finish everything that I need to get done. Working up all nighter has given me lots of zits on my face UGH enemy!! But guess what? My crush and I have a zit on the same cheek. Lol, forgive me for being easily amused. True story though :PNothing better than waking up on a noon nap and walking to the closest coffee shop to grab your favorite drink. Holly's Coffee is starting to grow on me to be honest. :) The bartenders are quite nice too, well at least the korean dood was super friendly.

A couple of swatches I be using for my hotel plate. Will keep on updating you guys with whats going down. Oh, the lady who assisted us, in Larry's Shop in Amorsolo Street, Gil Puyat... I think her name was Marie, yeah.. she's the nicest personnel I have ever ever ever encountered. So if you guys ever decide to drop by for textiles and fabrics for anything, ask for her. God bless you woman.

Okay so I visited this new coffee shop close to my condo here in Taft Avenue, the place is called Hollys Coffee shop and they also serve these Korean beverages that I dare not try. Haha, it cracked me up when they gave me this black coaster thingy that vibrates when your orders ready for collection. Its quite original, compared to the usual Starbucks call-out.


So my friend, Jenny and I did our hotel plate as we chilled at the coffee shop, their pastries are quite rubbery but tasty. They coulda lessened the microwave heat level up.

We got our creative shots taken this week as well. Since we are on the graduating batch, its required to get some pictures up and posted for the yearbook.
I was able to take a picture of some of my groupmates for the exhibit.. The originals will be posted up in a couple of weeks.

Was able to chill over at Mall of Asia for like 6 hours? Actually after church we headed straight to the mall, and we had brunch at Subway, snacked on Greenwich's Beefy Baked Macaroni and then decided to grab up some free donuts at Krispy Kreme and try out their Mocha Coffee Latte. Also, was able to charge my phone.

On my way to sending my sis and friends over the cab, I saw me crusssssshhhhhhhh :P

Okay, tryna compose myself here. Okay so, was able to finish my 7th hour of driving lessons today. Just waiting for my 2 lecture sched and then I get my non-pro driving license and its hellobruneibaby :)) Nahh, just kidding. I hafta finish my exhibit first. Ugghhh, I'm gonna try to cut down on junk food this week and work double on the treadmill.

greenwich stopover

After presenting for Architect Guggenheimer this morning,
which was partially related to out last class for our thesis.. Ethel and Jenny decided they were hungry since the presentation took longer than expected. So we stopped over at Greenwich pizza place to grab some late lunchers and I tagged along lol. Just cos I didn't feel like going home yet. Was able to relax and rest a bit and even have a good laugh with the stories shared. LOL.

ladiee-ta-movieeeee

These past few days have been such a full schedule.
I honestly would've never imagined that life could be so friggin darn hectic.
But it definitely keeps my mind off hectic-ness and such..

On Monday, our school had a field trip visiting the Furniture-maker factory somewhere in Bicutan. We were able to learn and understand slightly more of how and what machines they use to produce and mould their furniture.

After the trip to the factory we were able to drop by the Product Development and Design Center of the Philippines where they explained to us the different sort of materials and products we could use for furniture. Basically exhibiting and showing us their previous work and samples. It was quite interesting although I was too tired to function and bother listening to the entire lecture.

we came back to PDCCP to make our own
sort of texture on simple plain cardboard paper.
Purrdy cool, huh?
I thought so.

And look what I got, just for attending their workshop!

We were able to watch the premier of Transformers 3.
Darn it was amaaazing. Well I enjoyed it a lot compared to the second movie
which was a disappointment. The plot to this was better than the last although I
still think Transformers 1 was the best lol.
Then again, that's just me.

Got dinner over at Asian Ramen, in Robinsons.
Pretty darn good dishes although they coulda lowered them prices a bit yenno.
Oh economy.
