Flowers

Today was flower arrangement day in class.
A week ago, we were given a seminar to discuss about the different types of flower arrangements, and as our assignment for the week, or rather an individual work for the day- was to bring our own artificial flowers to arrange in class. I guess the saying is true, you do learn more if you were to do things yourself rather than watch people do it/teach it to you. It was definitely something I enjoyed doing and learned a couple of randomness which I didn't think would work on flowers but I guess I was proven wrong (:

Here are some of the work my batch mates did for the class:

Here's mine on the first attempt, yuckers \:
what was I thinkin'??

Second attempt,

Got a little frustrated with the twig,
but the last attempt made the flowers look "finished",
I guess...
Cute no?Photo taken by my good friend, Ed Cauilan.

Taken by Ed Cauilan. Thanks so much if your reading this.

Since I had such an early start of the day, everything else was a blur when I got home past lunch time. All I remember was that I cleaned the condo up and knocked right outta bed. Got some zzzs from 3pm to 7pm. I am such a sick slacker, but whatever, the flu that I caught due to the sudden change of weathers got me exhausted easily.

When I finally did wake up, I got a call from ate Angelica inviting me over to this Korean Resto, I am so sorry I forgot what the name of it was but yeah, haha, first time ever to try it out on a Native Korean cuisine and it was definitely delightful. Got drank with Sprite lol! And here are some random shots eh.
Refillable side dishes, the oysters were the most nyamiest!

Some sorta assorted Korean alcohol.

Ocampo sisters :) Thank you for treating us!
Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATE ANGELICA <3

& of course, my beloved sister all pumped up.
Look at the smile growing bigger and wider as she ate more& more. Lol!

And that's about it (:
Siked for the weekend.
Cheers.

Its been a long time

It has been such a long time indeed since I last read a book. But reading such an extra-ordinary book from Judith McNaught just makes everything extra special. A good author can make you feel emotions whilst reading their work, that is exactly why she is such an amazing writer. I truly admire her because she never fails to amuse and entertain me.

On this particular book, I laughed, cried and laughed again C:
If you haven't read this, its a true classic tale. Unexpected and exciting that you'd wanna watch it on the screen.

Five stars, two thumbs up with a big happy smile.
Keep rockin' on dearest Judith McNaught.
You inspire me and I am certain I am not alone on this.

Cheers.

Table setting, advanced version

(Roseanne and Jenny, my groupies!! [:)

Yesterday& today's been hella hectic for me. Slept so late last night trying to do mini-gift boxes and wrapping it up on tiny white ribbons as well as the menu, tried to make it sound as posh and as elegant as possible.

Thank God its over! Finally, was able to clean the condo furreals and actually feel good now that I get to relax for a day. Got just one plate to finish and am thinking of starting it, ehh on the weekend perhaps. I was out in Divisoria(apparently a bargain place here in Manila) for the first time in my life, was with my good friend, Jenny picking out materials we'd be using for the table set-up (done today). Damn, that place has a LOT of peoples. Sorta scary, because I actually saw a real hold-up, or as Americans usually call it, a snatcher trying to steal a woman's purse. The snatcher who was a kid, got caught though. Serves him right! Think he was high on sumn..

We decided upon going for an outdoor summer garden look, with bright yellow, white and green as our color scheme. Our pretend occasion was a Family Reunion hence, the slightly modern yet delicate theme.

Here are the rest of our classmates' work.

Happy Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers out there!!! Especially to MY WONDERFUL MOM!

You have been such an important role in my life as well as everyone you know.
I wouldn't ever want anyone else to play the motherly role because I know you did it best.
Every time I go shopping in the mall and a mom says the line "Tumigil nga kayong dalawa!", I'd remember you and how you'd say it to me and Kresta. :) I love you mama. Forever and ever will!

About today, well, the day didn't start off as well cos it was raining so hard.
As I was walking on my way to church for the day, I saw a dead cat laying on the road. Head seperated from its body. Flesh scattered all over the floor with intestines whirling around its body. It was such a disturbing sight and I wanted so bad to move its body to the side but I was also rushing for mass so I didn't. (Sorry cat)

Did the 2nd reading, pretty sad that Laarni, the sunday mass pianist has moved to QC and so she won't be volunteering with the keyboards no more. I felt sorta bad because its mother's day and its suppose to be a lively mass for moms but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Nonetheless, God is with y'all :)

Had brunch at Soi, a Thai restaurant in Robinsons Ermita and did some grocerying. Cleaned up the condo and did my mother's day card for mama.
Random shot I took before my sis went to Brulanders. I miss junk.
Karen, control yourselves!
Okay that's it.
Chao.

Summertime

Summer's here, and the heat can drive you really crazy. No I am not exaggerating. Its gonna be such a slow weekend but I am still looking forward to it nonetheless. Yesterday was such a downer cos I had to pay 2k for tickets on which I am not even gonna use. Stoopid but its a requirement. Not going to put it on to detail. This week, I've learned how to operate Google Sketch-up. Its a drawing program sorta similar to AutoCAD but simpler and wayyy easier to handle. This term, I'm learning Hospital, Hotel (i think) as well as Museum design so we were required to design:
1) Regular room;(actually got distracted with the food cos it looked so darn yummeh!)

2) Suite room; and
3) The Hospital's general lobby..
Who woulda guessed I could finish all that within 2 days! (: Yep you should be proud.

But yep, that's pretty big on my end...
Cheers from the Philippines (:
