French Bakers

Made this steamed salmon for breakfast.
Would you believe me if I were to tell you the only ingredients in this are:
1) Salmon.
2) Thin slices of lemon.
3) Onion
4) Basil leaves (dried.)I've never been one of those people obsessed with their fitness nor do I ever gave much attention to self-image too much. But yesterday was one of days where I got called over to the gym by my friend Ate Angela. Spend the past 2 hours in the gym with her and after that we strolled along the stores we decided to grab a bite at French Baker. YUMSIES!

Salmon with veggies and soup

It was an exhausting day, the last time I ate was at 11ish in the a.m. I was pretty much idle in the first part of the morning.. That's why I had a late brunch. Hence, the feel of some healthy bite which I made myself. This little ingredient was taught to me by my parents. I'm not really talented in the kitchen but I have my moments of cookery. Attended class from 1-4pm and gosh it was one of those not-in-the-mood-to-study mode.
OMG I got cookies from Danelley and YUM, they're amazingly yummy. SHE THE BEST!!! I missed her soo much. Imagine my entire life in PSID, I spend it with her daily and suddenly the meeting haults as we don't have the same schedule for AutoCAD. :(Baby Kat, her bubbly personality can always brighten up anyones day. What did I say eh? I have amazing friends. YESSUR!

Crepes&Cream with family

Life has been a mixed roller coaster ride these past few days. From the death of our uncle to my parents dropping by and paying their respects. To the blessed trips to experiencing amazing cuisines all over Manila. To the fact that my sister won first place in DLSU's Civil Eng Fun Run for 2010. To the mere fact that I have friends who care about me! Its been one hell of a joy ride and I am so grateful to God for giving me a chance to bond with my parents over the short time that was given to us. Its during times like these when you get tested by appreciating what you already have and using it to its full potential to get through all the obstacles life puts you through. Ahh, its all mixed emotions but nonetheless, I'm thankful for everyone and everything that I have.

Was looking for a dress for my little sister, J when I passed through the Crepes& Cream outlet in RPE. Mama treated me to a hot fresh slice of Spicy Tuna Onion Crepes and mmm, YUM! They used Century Tuna's Hot& Spicy stock. I'd reckon their products taste anywhere.

This was tooken yesterday while walking, hence the blurry image. Its Crepes& Cream's infamous Chocolate Temptation. This little number is so heavenly. The combination of every ingredient never fail to make me enjoy every bite. This one's my fav!High 5 on the new nail do! I was suppose to give me a new french tipped nail but blah I gave up after the 6th try. I need to work on my impatience :)

Got a whole gigantic can of healthy Quaker Oats for FREE!!! Was grocery shopping with pops, moms and sis when some sales ladeh gavewas giving us sample treats for free. Hahah whole family got a hand load and it pretty much filled up the full empty can. How amazing is that?
Now you can totally snack it up as you wait for traffic to disappear.

Not only are the treats incredibly yummy. They're sugar free and contains 0% Fat. Check the Nutrition table thingy that my sister always looks at everytime she purchases some goodies :))

Update

Okay really long update coming up. Let's start with Valentines Day. Everyones been looking forward to it but the most unusual thing happened to me. At 7am I got a phone call from my aunt, pronouncing that my uncle, Tito Madie (mama's brother) passed away. It was heartbreaking and shocking at the same time. I couldn't believe the horror of it because he was just over the condo 3 months ago, perfectly healthy and happy and now he's not here. Heart failure caused it, apparently it was already too late for everything, even before he was scheduled to go to the Manila Heart Center this weeks Monday.

So going back to the phonecall, my aunt was telling me the bad news and obviously it took me some time before it actually sank in my slow brain. As bad as it is, my aunt told me to spill the news to my mom, because she couldn't get a hold of my mom, herself. I, too, tried my moms cell but no one was picking up because she was eating breakfast. So I tried my sisters. And she was able to answer hers although I didn't know how to break the news in a more comforting manner. Infact, there was no easy or comforting manner to tell someone that a person they're close to passed away. I just did the direct approach to get it over with.

Got ready for church and was in no mood to do anything nor sing. But nobody else woulda volunteered. I was extremely drained from lack of sleep to having your inner flesh shiver with the shock of what went on previously. I felt like I wanted to cry but I couldn't cry infront of these strangers. Basically, didn't enjoy Valentines. Went out with some friends and had some Shakey's Super Chocolate shake. Yum!

Sundown came and I couldn't get my sleep up til 5am. Woke up the next day at 11am chatting with my mom and my sister. They cheered me up and updated me with what went down. I miss them so much. Basically it wasn't the smooth Valentine celebration I thought would happen. Haha, Monday evening came. I was cleaning up and throwing the rubbish when I effin had to absent-mindedly lock myself out. Of course I had too much on my mind to think of it but I swear I don't remember locking the door. I had to wait for my sis to get back and hand me the keys. After 2 hours of waiting for her, unfo, she didn't have hers either. Going to plan C which was calling our uncle who had the other copy. He was the closest there was and when he came, he brought the wrong set of keys so we had no choice but to break down the lock. Blahh, in short, everything was going wrong.

Praying to God that it would go uphill from here. :( Please pray for my uncle's soul and for us.

A great way to cool off is to drop by 7 Eleven and get a huge cuppa Gatorade or any soft drink of your choice for such an affordable price!

IKEA and Pinkberry

Craving for some Pinkberry goodies. YUM!!!

Browsing through the web and I saw some pretty amazing shots from IKEA. A kitchen can also be a calming place to spend esp when your in for the weekend. Using really dark colors are not always a bad thing because it can give a very positive feel for your rooms too.

I don't mind getting one of these in the future, it gives a very relaxing atmosphere where your kids can definitely chill and kill time. Very spacious and a good entertainment center for young kids to hang out in your homes.

An achromatic color schemed office/bedroom yet a very simple and elegant way of putting a small but effective office esp when your worried about space.

The resolutions are definitely great and its soo clear. Been a while since I took a self-vanity pic. Haha. I was bored so I said, ehhhh heck! why not?!

FAKE tattoo. Its not real soo I am clarifying it before you guys start freaking out. Just drew it on my inner armish part with gel pen and used my sister's markers which were laying on the table right beside my laptop. Was talking to a friend and was getting bored so my hands decided to grab them pens and started drawing. Made me miss school. Its washable so, moms and pops... not to worry :)

Sister asked me to think a simple dress for hurrr sooo, i copied the sketch and played alittle with them colors. Did it within 5 mins.

WELCOME TO 2010!
It's a new year, it's time for another fresh start. But before that, I am thankful for so many things that went down on the previous year.

Thank you God.
For everything that you've blessed me with. For my family. My friends. The comforts of life that you have truly sanctified me with. I have no words to describe how thankful I feel for this year. Without you, I don't think it would be possible for me to have learned so much. You have been there on my hardships and you've helped me believe that there is more to life. I love you, God.

You both have been my moral inspiration. You guys have so supporting that it pushes me to do my best and give my all at everything. I'm gonna try to do the best I can, even with the many distractions that go on. Always know that, as your daughter, I am here for you both. You both have sacrificed so much for me and my sisters that I don't know how to show you guys how greatful I am and how blessed I am to be your eldest daughter. You guys are my world and I can never ever imagine spending the holidays without you. I love you mama and papa.

Even if we don't get along all the time, you both will always have a place in my heart. I may not be the perfect example but I do try my best. Never ever forget that I love you. kitchen and garden

Torture's been on for a couple of days straight in a row. Feel like I'm slowly withering little by little. Energy drained but I can't complain because the outcome's a satisfactory. :) Just had mid terms for Deco Arts, took me a whole entire night to finish the plate for the kitchen not to mention reviewing for the mid terms wherein everyone of us had to memorize the painting and the painter taught to us during lecture and actually understand what that painting stood for. As soon as I got home, I knocked out and wanna say great thanks to Dione and Danelley for offerin' up a ride home :) Lovely people. Love you both!!

Due later. Just started rendering it 3 hours ago. or more.. I can't really remember anymore but I do know its for errrm... Color Rendering. Good luck to us taking midterms for it lateerrr. Woot. Ima get some shut eye now. :)

starbucks vs homework

Starbucks has their new set of their holiday drinks up since early on this week. Everyones getting their coffee groove on and has started collecting them stamps for the 2010 Starbucks planner, which on my previous experience... is only available in the Phillipines? Well if not then do correct me. Not that I am bragging or anything. Just got a couple of friends in London, UK and Malaysia who say that their Starbucks outlet do not provide suchness.

Ahh we shall see how much my sister can collect this year though. Hahaha. Maybe I can ask her to give me an extra. She's addicted to them drinkies.


Anyhow, didn't do much on my current deadlines. I am really not in the mood to elaborate with the detailings but I guess I am trying? Barely. Hahah. Pardon me.. I purposely didn't finish the lower part of this piece mainly because I didn't wanna screw it up more than it already is. I attempted to use the complimentary color scheme buuuut... I am not to sure it's working out so well. Oh well... better luck on the next plate. :O
